Who We Are
Shared Love Uganda (SLU) is a registered child and community development organization founded in 2010. Born out of compassion for vulnerable children in Makukuba and surrounding communities, we exist to bring hope where it is most needed.
Our work began when we witnessed young girls—some as young as 13—being married off, children dropping out of school, and families struggling without access to health care, clean water, or sustainable livelihoods.
Today, SLU continues to stand as a beacon of empowerment, serving disadvantaged children, families, and communities across Uganda.
Our Vision
Empowering people and community systems to enrich the holistic needs of a child.
Our Mission
Building self‑reliant communities that serve the needs of children.
Our Core Values
- God‑fearing: Faith guides our work and decisions.
- Transparency: We steward resources with integrity and accountability.
- Teamwork & Partnership: We collaborate with communities, sponsors, and partners for greater impact.
- Commitment to the Disadvantaged: We prioritize the most vulnerable—orphans, abandoned children, and struggling families.
